Getting there From the airport: Take the REAL bus to Ipanema (R$6) from outside the terminal and get off at the corner of Rua Farme de Amoedo on the beach avenue Av Vieira Souto, exception for mornings on weekdays when the bus runs on the paralell street Rua Prudente de Moraes. You still get off on the corner of Farme de Amoedo though. The bus takes approximately 1 ½ hour. Walk towards Rua Barão da Torre N°175, casa 18 (Close to New Natural Restaurant) Taxi (R$40-50) from outside the terminal or around 85R$ for a Radiotaxi inside the building (a safer option since the ride is then registered). From the bus station (Rodoviária-Novo Rio): Bus with AC (R$3.20), company REAL, get off in Ipanema at Farme de Amoedo, takes approximately 45 minutes. Taxi is around 30R$ and is easy to get from the Taxi line at the arrival terminal. When you arrive at Rua Barão da Torre N°175 there is a gate, during daytime it is open so just to put your hand inside and turn the knob, then walk to house 18 down on the left and ring the doorbell if the door is not open. If the gate is locked just ring the interphone to the left (it says Harmonia casa 18 on it) and we come and open. Observe that there nowadays are plenty of hostels in our little street, all have Country Flags hanging outside, we have one flag and it´s Swedish (blue with a yellow cross).
